Pool service and cleaning in Orange County
Orange County has one of the highest backyard pool counts in the country, hard water that leaves calcium on the tile and a long swim season. Weekly pool service is the norm: skim, brush, vacuum, empty baskets, test and balance the water and check the equipment. Tell us about your pool and we connect you with independent local pool techs who quote a flat monthly rate.

Licensing and rules for pool service in California
Routine cleaning and chemical balancing need no CSLB license. Equipment installation and repair and acid baths are C-61/D-35 work and pool construction is C-53, so those requests are tagged pool-equipment and sent only to licensed partners. Commercial pools (HOA, apartment, hotel) are regulated by the OC Health Care Agency, so commercial pool leads go only to partners who service public pools.
What we require from partners on this line:
- City business license
- General liability insurance
- C-61/D-35 or C-53 license before taking equipment repair, install or acid wash leads
- Public pool experience and OC Health Care Agency compliance before taking HOA, apartment or hotel pool leads
We are a referral service, not the contractor. Verify license and insurance with the provider before hiring. See partner criteria.

Pool service and cleaning FAQ
Weekly service with chemicals included is quoted as a flat monthly rate that depends on pool size, whether there is an attached spa, saltwater vs chlorine and how much debris the yard drops in. Current estimate ranges are on the pricing page; the pool tech confirms the price after seeing the pool and equipment.
Skimming the surface, brushing walls and steps, vacuuming as needed, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, testing and balancing chlorine, pH and alkalinity, and a quick check of the pump, filter pressure and timer. Filter cleanings a few times a year and chemicals beyond the normal weekly dose are usually extra.
Green pool cleanups are urgent requests and we flag them that way. The tech shocks and clarifies the water over several visits or, in bad cases, recommends a drain and clean. Pick "green" as the condition in the form so you are matched with a pro who does recovery work.
Equipment repair and installation and acid washes are licensed contractor work in California (C-61/D-35 or C-53). You can still request them here; those leads are tagged and sent only to partners who confirm the right license. Routine cleaning and chemical balancing need no contractor license.
Orange County water is hard, so calcium scale builds up at the waterline over a season or two. Tile cleaning with glass bead or soda blasting removes it. It is a one-time service, separate from weekly cleaning, and you can request it in the same form.
